February 8 – Poverty & Access to Justice Symposium put on by Supra: The Online Companion to the Mississippi Law Journal
February 16 – Masquerade Charity Ball benefiting the Pro Bono Initiative put on by the Community Service Committee of Ole Miss LSSB
February 26 & April 16– DeSoto County Pro Se Days – The Pro Bono Initiative of the law school is sponsoring two trips to DeSoto County to assist self-represented litigants in completing pleadings and presenting family law matters to the Chancery Court.
March 11 – 15 – Alternative Spring Break – Eight students will accompany Professor Deborah Bell to Atlanta to partner with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Inc. (AVLF) and the firm of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP to assist victims of domestic violence in court proceedings for protective orders.
March 20 – Greenville Pro Se Day – The Pro Bono Initiative of the law school is sponsoring a trip to Greenville to assist self-represented litigants in completing pleadings and presenting family law matters to the Washington County Chancery Court.
April 4 – Law School Family Law Clinic – The Pro Bono Initiative and the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project are cosponsoring a Legal Clinic at the law school to assist low-income Mississippians with divorce, custody, guardianship, domestic violence, emancipation, and other matters.
